It’s only July, and the 2024 election has already shaped up to be one of the wildest in American history—and perhaps even in world history. After a dismal midterm performance that shook confidence in him, former President Trump has defied expectations. This cycle has truly been unprecedented, in many ways....
During the waning hours of the Biden Reelection campaign, they had a message. They claimed that the Joe Biden economy was doing good for the working class, that they protected the enviroment, pushed out great infastructure build, brought back computer chip manufacture, and he would protect the nation from Donald J. Trump. While the message may not resonate with you or I, there were some people it did resonate with. Then Joe Biden dropped out. Within twenty-four hours, Harris basically became the presumptive nominee and what was her first vital message she sent out to the world?
What is the most important reason candidates are capable of winning elections? Is it due to their charisma? Their proclaimed positions and enticing platform pages? Could it be the momentum generated by their grassroots base? While important, perhaps none of these factors are the answer as to why candidates are capable of winning elections, specifically elections where a candidate has the perfect charisma, the perfect campaign team, and the perfect issues but ultimately falls short as they are outraised by a margin of 1:10. And sometimes more.
A brief article on what races to watch today as the Florida Primaries occur. Some federal races, some local races.
September 10th was the 2nd General Election debate of the 2024 election or the first debate between Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Like every single debate, the question lingers on, Who won the debate...
In 1908, Israel Zangwill’s play The Melting Pot popularized a metaphor for American society that depicted immigrants blending into a homogenous culture. While this idea suggested that diverse groups would fuse into one unified whole, today’s America presents a very different picture. America nowadays is more akin to a “Great Cutting Board”. Large groups of immigrants no longer assimilate as they once did. Instead, as the world becomes more connected through technology and global communications, assimilation becomes harder, which is to the detriment of American society...
On November 21st, 1620, 41 men signed what was then called the Agreement Between the Settlers of New Plymouth. The document now known as the Mayflower Compact was described by future President Calvin Coolidge as “...the first real constitution of modern times.” The 41 men who drafted and signed the Mayflower Compact helped to lay the groundwork for what would become America. They risked their lives to sail halfway around the world just so their children, and their children’s children, could have a chance at a better life, free from religious persecution and the tyranny of the crown. One of these men was Edward Doty....
In 2022, at the desperate urging of President Joe Biden, the Democratic controlled House of Representatives narrowly passed HR 1808, a bill that criminalized the sale, manufacture, transfer and possession of large swathes of semi automatic weapons and magazines that can hold more than 15 rounds of ammunition. This bill was essentially a replica of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, though void of any expiry date. The newfound and ever more egregious attempt to scuttle millions of law-abiding Americans’ right to bear arms had fortunately been snuffled in the senate after a refusal to put it up to a vote. And yet, as the democrats continue in their full frontal slaughter of our constitutional rights in their march towards an authoritarian state, republicans are spineless to do anything and instead will kowtow towards democrat talking points without a hint of shamelessness...
It’s been a year and a half since I wrote my endorsement for former President Donald John Trump in the 2024 Election. With arguably the most polarized, chaotic, and pivotal election since 1968 less than a month away, updates are necessary. Since then, a lot has changed. Kevin McCarthy has been replaced as Speaker by Mike Johnson, which is a tremendous upgrade to the right. Trump replaced Ronna McDaniel with Michael Whatley as RNC Chair and leadership has become much more effective...
Growing up in South Dakota, I never celebrated Columbus Day. That’s because, in 1990, then Governor George Mickelson asked the legislature to declare it a “Year of Reconciliation” with the Native Americans. As part of this declaration, South Dakota officially replaced Columbus Day with Native American Day. Other places in this country have followed suit. Alaska, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C. have all decided they will no longer recognize Columbus Day, many of them instead replacing it with an Indigenous Peoples’ Day....
The overwhelming majority of Americans are now realizing that the 2024 election is noteworthy for several reasons that could genuinely earn it that distinction. For the first time in recorded history, a major nominated candidate’s prospects of serving a jail sentence for the rest of his life hang in the balance, along with the prospective amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, the livelihoods of the unborn, and the bleak cloud of censorship that poises its treacherous claws over the frail texts of our Constitution...
Our official America First Insight model currently forecasts a 306-232 outcome, with a slight edge for Harris in the popular vote. But to offer a fuller picture, I reached out to a number of high-profile political commentators for their insights. Below are their thoughts on the 2024 race...
