Welcome back to Your Weekly America First Insight! Man, what a week—politics, primaries, and missile volleys got everyone talking. Let’s jump right in and break down the big stories from an America First angle. Thanks for riding with us!

New Jersey Primaries: We Nailed It

First up, election news, and we’re patting ourselves on the back a bit. In the New Jersey governor primaries, our polling aggregate was spot-on for the Democrats. We had Rep. Mikie Sherrill winning by 13.3%, and she did exactly that, crushing her rivals with a solid lead. On the GOP side, Jack Ciattarelli’s win was even bigger than we predicted. Our model gave him a 46.7% margin of victory if you tossed him all the undecideds—pretty common with a Trump endorsement—and he pulled off a 46% margin, sweeping every county. Only one poll’s dropped since the primaries, and it’s got Ciattarelli within the margin of error against Sherrill. This race is gonna be a to be a great one to watch come November. Especially seeing how New Jersey swung nearly 10 points to the right Federally since Ciattarelli ran last time, when he only lost by around 4%.

One Big Beautiful Bill and Immigration Fights

Next, the One Big Beautiful Bill’s still stirring up noise. A poll showed just 6% overall support, but dig deeper, and tons of individual pieces—like the massive $47 billion boost for border security—have double-digit backing. Senator Rand Paul tried to gut that funding down to $6 billion, but that was stopped by Senate Leadership, including Senator Chuck Grassely (R-IA). Immigration’s been one of the week’s top three topics, and it’s getting messy. Some GOP congressmen, like Tony Gonzales, Carlos Gimenez, David Valadao, and Maria Salazar, pushed ICE to stop deporting non-criminal illegals and only go after those with records. Then Trump dropped a Truth Social post saying the aggressive deportation policy was hitting farmers and hotels hard. Right after, a leaked email hinted ICE might pause deportations at meat-packing plants, farms, and similar spots. Trump followed up promising to help those industries, but ICE agents are still rounding up illegals on farms, hotels, and elsewhere. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins stepped in, saying they back deportations but want to prioritize differently to avoid short-term food supply issues—nobody wants empty grocery shelves. Tom Homan and Stephen Miller doubled down, saying the mission hasn’t changed: all illegals gotta go. Trump’s latest post reaffirmed mass deportations, especially in blue cities, so it looks like farmworker deportations might slow a bit while ICE hammers urban areas. This keeps the pressure on Democrats, who are bleeding support on immigration, their weakest issue.

Israel-Iran Missile Volleys Heat Up

Overseas, the missile volleys between Israel and Iran are stealing headlines. Both sides are lobbing more rockets at each other, and tensions are through the roof. Crude oil prices are spiking, which can starting hitting American wallets at the pump—a big concern for Trump and the average American. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that this is Israel and Iran’s beef, not ours, as long as Americans stay safe. Trump and Vladimir Putin had a phone call about the situation, and Putin then called Iran's leader, suggesting that Iran should halt. As of now, the volleys have gotten worse, but Iran’s saying they’re open to a nuclear deal if the U.S. stays out of the missile fight. Neither side’s got much left but to keep chucking missiles, so it’s a stalemate for now. America First means keeping our troops out of this quagmire, and Rubio’s stance is holding firm.

Army’s 250th Birthday and MAGA’s Big Milestone

Back home, it was the Army’s 250th birthday this weekend, and Washington, D.C., threw a military parade to celebrate. Tanks, choppers, and thousands of troops rolled through, showing off America’s strength. We’d love to see this become a yearly thing—give it a few years to get smoother, and it’ll be a can’t-miss event. If you’re reading this on release day, June 16, 2025, it’s also the 10-year anniversary of the MAGA movement. From Trump’s 2015 campaign launch to now, it’s flipped politics on its head and put America First front and center. God Bless America, and we’ve got some cool features cooking for you soon—stay tuned!
